Abstract

Individual competitiveness is a relatively new concept in the study of psychology and societal psychology. Understanding individual competitiveness refers to an individual's ability to compete in a competitive era of globalization. In some literatures, individual competitiveness is associated with competitive advantage, and is determined by an individual's ability to continue learning. The purpose of this study are to obtain data about the variables that give effect on the variable Individual Competitiveness, which is the endogenous variable in the face of competition in this era of globalization. A qualitative method for data collection was created through observation and interview methods. It can be concluded that the framework of the variables that affect the Individual Competitiveness are achievement, self efficacy, intrinsic motivation, and learning behavior.
