AbstractPolycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a polygenic condition comes with various phenotype which is common in reproductive age women. PCOS potentially affect women’s ability to get pregnant and also her quality of life. Effective management will need multidisiplinary approach. PCOS come with androgen excess, ovulatory disfunction and polycystic morphology on ultrasound examination. PCOS also related with some metabolic abnormalities like insulin resistance and obestiy which play important role on its pathophysiology especially negatively impact on ovarian function and infertility. Treatment could be done with several modalities such as medicine and minimally invasive surgical procedure. This review aimed to explain that PCOS is a chronic condition in which neglected has potency to alter women medical condition negatively. It can be concluded that PCOS is a common condition in reproductive age women. Appear with menstrual irregularities, infertility or clinical symptoms of hiperandrogenism. Early detection and comprehensive management are better to general and reproductive health respectively.
