GAMBARAN FREKUENSI PERNAFASAN PADA PASIEN GAGAL JANTUNG FUNGSIONAL KELAS II & III DI JAKARTA

AbstractHeart failure is now recognized as a major public health problem. The prevalence of heart failure is 23 million worldwide and more than 5.8 million in the United States. In Indonesia, the incidence of heart failure based on symptoms of heart failure is 530,068 people (0.3%) and the doctor's diagnosis is 229. 696 people (0.13%). The incidence of heart failure patient is 839 people in Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo and 335 people in RS. PGI Cikini. One symptom that is often felt by heart failure clients is shortness of breath. This aims study to determine the description of respiratory frequency in heart failure clients and to know the correlations of age, sex, BMI and classification of heart failure towards respiratory frequency. This study used Pearson correlation in X and Y hospitals in Jakarta during May 2015 as many as 50 respondents. The results of the study found that the majority of respondents aged over 65 years (44%) and, men (64%), normal BMI (50%), Class 2 class functional heart failure (38%) and respiratory rate takipnea (80%) . The result showed that there is correlation between classification of classal heart failure towards respiratory rate with p-value 0,002 (<0.05) and no correlation between age, sex and BMI towards respiratory frequency (> 0,05).
