It is undeniable that the use of information technology has been able to change people in any way. One of them is the use of computers and the internet which has sparked a new business called electronic commerce or e-commerce. The e-commerce business has been booming for several years and has remarkable developments in Indonesia. This research tries to dig deeper about who are e-commerce user in Indonesia and also wants to know how a person tends to become an e-commerce user if viewed by gender, place of residence, age, education, main activities and domicile. This study uses data from the Indonesian National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) in 2017 conducted by Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). This study uses an analysis unit of individuals aged 5 years and above. From the results of binary logistic regression, it can be concluded that with a 5 percent significance level a person's tendency to become an e-commerce actor will be greater for women, residing in urban areas, adolescent age categories (12-25 years), highly educated (above high school), main activities are working and domiciled in the west Indonesia.
